Dispatch has an assignment for you. Bring a keyboard. Leave room for mistakes.
The next word is an attack. The red word is a warning. And sometimes the thing waiting inside a word is a live bomb. Tracebreak turns typing into a fight for survival, with hostile systems, changing assignments, and decisions that demand more than a high words-per-minute score.
Accept the page from dispatch, enter the operation, and work your way toward its final confrontation. Your hands do the fighting. Your loadout determines how much room they have to recover.
Find your rhythm. Defend it.
Type attack words correctly to deal damage. Keep the sequence clean and your combo grows. Longer words and stronger combos make your attacks matter, but an enemy does not have to wait for you to finish thinking.
When a red word appears, react before its timer expires. A successful parry can turn an attack back on the enemy. Miss the window and the hit breaks your momentum. Combat is a shifting conversation between the word you wanted to type and the one you suddenly need.
The emergency changes the rules.
Face different crises, locations, and enemy behaviors. The Mainframe introduces the fight. Critical Mass adds systems under pressure. Neural Net makes you the intruder, where evidence and trace change the meaning of a defensive response.
Speed can be a weapon, but it is not always quiet. Learn when to push, when to keep your input clean, and when an operation has reached the point where you simply have to move.
Keep your head when the bomb appears.
A trapped word can interrupt your flow with a different kind of deadline. Defusing it asks you to switch attention without losing control. A mistake has consequences beyond a broken combo.
Between encounters, choose field modifications and look for combinations that support the way you play. Some improve reliability. Others offer power with a cost. The next choice can rescue a struggling run or encourage you to take a risk you probably should not.
Take the next assignment.
Dispatch supplies the operation. Attempted assignments remain in the Archive so you can revisit an unfinished job. Daily and seeded assignments offer another way to return, while Normal, Hard, and Nightmare let you choose the pressure.
Failure leaves you with experience—and persistent progression to invest in the next attempt. Practice mode gives you space to work on your rhythm without the threat of a run ending. Assist and presentation settings help you find a readable, comfortable setup before you raise the stakes.
